Content & Social Media Officer

The Content & Social Media Officer owns end-to-end creation, publishing, and performance management of our client's content and social media presence across all digital brand touchpoints. The role translates brand and marketing strategy into consistent, high-quality, on-brand content while growing the brand's reputation and audience engagement across social channels.
What you'll own
- —Develop and maintain a monthly/quarterly content calendar aligned to brand campaigns, service lines, and organisational moments
- —Translate direction from the Corporate Communications Manager and Digital Marketing Manager into channel-specific content briefs and formats
- —Track industry, competitor, and healthcare-communication trends to keep the brand's content relevant and differentiated
- —Write, edit, and proofread copy for social media, website updates, newsletters, patient education material, and internal communications
- —Brief and collaborate with the Creative Designer on graphics, video, and reels, ensuring adherence to organisation's brand guidelines
- —Source and caption patient testimonials and staff spotlights in line with FRCL's patient consent and privacy requirements
- —Own day-to-day scheduling, publishing, and moderation across all active the organisation's social channels (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, TikTok)
- —Monitor and respond to comments, direct messages, and reviews within agreed service-level windows
- —Maintain and evolve content pillars, hashtag strategy, and posting cadence to build consistent brand voice
- —Ensure every piece of published content follows the company's brand guidelines and approval workflows
- —Maintain documented content approval trail and escalation consistency with Communication Management Framework
- —Flag reputational risk items to the Head of Marketing within agreed escalation window
- —Track and report weekly and monthly content and social media performance metrics
- —Prepare monthly Brand Experience input into the company's Management Report KPI Scorecard
- —Test content formats, posting times, and channel mix; recommend and implement optimisation actions based on data
- —Partner with Sales & Marketing team on campaign content supporting lead generation and client acquisition
- —Support HR and Culture Committee with content for Recognition Programme, culture communications, and employer branding
- —Support Customer Experience function with FAQ and patient-education content
What we need from you
- —Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field
- —Minimum of 2–4 years' experience in content creation and/or social media management
- —Demonstrable portfolio of published content and managed social channels
- —Strong copywriting, editing, and proofreading skills across formal and social-first tones
- —Working knowledge of social scheduling/publishing tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Buffer, Later, or equivalent)
- —Comfortable with basic design tools (Canva or Adobe Express/Creative Suite)
- —Working knowledge of analytics tools (Meta Insights, Google Analytics, LinkedIn/X analytics)
- —Excellent attention to detail with near-zero tolerance for typos and brand guideline breaches
- —Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams
- —Ability to act quickly on reputational risk and urgent requests
- —Full accountability for content calendar, approvals trail, and monthly reporting
- —Creativity and adaptability to generate fresh content ideas and adapt tone/format to each channel
- —Experience within healthcare, diagnostics, or patient/customer-facing industry is advantageous
- —Basic video editing skills (e.g., CapCut) is advantageous
- —Google Analytics, Meta Blueprint, or HubSpot Content Marketing certification is advantageous
